- Team Hedge
I’ve gone for a mix of bankable points verse potential in my forwards this week. Alicia Eva is averaging 11 tackles and 15 disposals which puts her on or around 80pts and playing against her former team mates so you can bank on her being in everything. Tegan Cunningham is my second forward at 8.5k and is great value. First up 43 pts was built on with a 70pt game last week against the Crows and I think that is where she will sit this week against the Dockers.
Alex Anderson saw a fairly sizeable jump in price, almost 6k from R2 and while I think perhaps there might be a few that jump off at that price i certainly wont be one of them. Walks into a 70+ here.
Courtney Gum is only going to get better. The GWS on-baller had 8 kicks, 8 handballs and 8 tackles in the wet last week, still just 9k and comes up against a weak magpies midfield. I think she will be dominant.
Jamie Lambert surely (surely!) starts on-ball and stays there this game. Why they had her playing deep forward in the first quarter was beyond me, she had a 48pt second half playing as a follower against the Dockers which shows you what she can do when given the chance. Well-priced.
My fourth midfielder is Erin Phillips. I mention in the Podcast why she needs to be taken, absolute gun who may just be POD status equals must pick.
In defense Bonnie Toogood was excellent of the half back line repelling the Brisbane raids and stopping Fredrick-Traub. 7.4k averaging 48pts. Not over-thinking that one, straight in and moving on.
Wanted Ash Brazill but she wasn't named (black books folks) so have settled with Iilish Ross who enjoyed a 44pt game against the Dockers. The Magpies #13 looked much more at home second up and i'm hoping there is yet more natural improvement third game in.
Erin Hoare is a cheap ruck option who I think will enjoy a good game against the dockers.
